On 16 April 2010 there was an initial information and working meeting of business and museum partners held at Berne University of the Arts.  The number of participants was also extended to include interested experts in conservation and restoration, and museum technology.  It was advertised on www.skr.ch and www.museumstechniker.ch, targeting in this first phase people from German-speaking Switzerland.  It was pleasing to see about 35 attendees join the research team at this event.

The meeting began with the research team presenting the results of the previous project before going on to explain the goals of the current CTI research project.  The second part of the meeting took the form of a discussion.  Many comments, input and questions made for an interesting debate.  Constructive criticism and contemporary questions from the business partners and experts from the field could thus be integrated into the research project.
