Cooperation with Kunstmuseum Bern

The first application of the newly evaluated measuring technique, which is being used in the CTI project, happened as part of a collaboration between the Berne Museum of Fine Arts and the research team from Berne University of Applied Sciences (BFH).  A large painting by Ferdinand Holder was transported in an airsprung truck from Berne to Budapest.  The monitoring included recording the shock and vibration emissions (measured at the edge and on the textile support) as well as the temperature and relative dampness in the transport box.  The results give a picture of the actual level of shock and vibration to expect when professionals organize the transport of a large painting by truck.
